Honest answers about how we work, lead times, materials, certifications and what affects cost.

Our fiber laser cuts mild steel up to 20mm, stainless steel up to 12mm, aluminum up to 10mm, brass up to 6mm and copper up to 4mm. We routinely cut signage, brackets, gussets and decorative panels for clients across Kenya.
We accept DXF and DWG files prepared in any modern CAD package. If you don't have a CAD file, our team can sketch your part from a drawing or sample at a small additional cost.
Standard tolerance is ±0.1mm on cut profiles, which is suitable for most fabrication, signage and assembly work. Tighter tolerances are possible on request for precision components.
Most jobs are completed within 1–5 working days depending on quantity and material availability. Urgent same-day jobs can often be accommodated — contact us to confirm.
We can supply mild steel, stainless and aluminum sheet stock from local suppliers, or you can deliver your own. Supplying the sheet ourselves usually saves time and ensures material certification.
Our bed handles standard 1500x3000mm sheet sizes which covers the majority of fabrication needs. Larger parts can be split and seamed during fabrication.
Yes — there is no minimum order quantity. We regularly cut single prototypes for engineers and designers, as well as production runs of thousands.
Yes. We offer full downstream fabrication: press braking, rolling, TIG/MIG welding, finishing and powder coating through trusted partners. This means one supplier, one quote.
We fabricate structural steel, custom brackets and frames, industrial enclosures, gates, grilles, platforms, walkways, mezzanines and bespoke metalwork. Most projects combine cutting, welding and finishing under one roof.
Yes — our welders are trained and tested on TIG, MIG and stick processes. For structural and pressure work we follow EBK and recognised international codes.
Absolutely. Submit your drawings (DWG, DXF or PDF) and we will quote against the specified materials, finishes and tolerances. We can also advise on buildability.
Yes — we coordinate powder coating, galvanising and painting with vetted local partners. Finishes are included in our quotation so you receive a single delivery.
Small custom jobs take 3–7 days; structural projects typically run 2–6 weeks depending on tonnage and finish. We provide a firm programme with every quote.
Yes. Our installation crews handle delivery, rigging, welding-in-place and commissioning across Nairobi and the major counties.
Yes — we run a dedicated stainless line to avoid cross-contamination. See our Stainless Steel Fabrication service for details.
There is no fixed minimum. We take on single custom items as readily as large production runs.
A standard walk-in cold room takes 1–3 weeks from order to commissioning depending on size and panel availability. Larger or custom builds can run 4–6 weeks.
Chillers typically run +2°C to +8°C and freezers run -18°C to -25°C. We can specify systems for special applications such as pharmaceutical cold chain on request.
Yes — we install cold rooms across Kenya, including Mombasa, Naivasha, Eldoret, Kisumu, Nakuru and beyond. Travel and lodging are included in regional quotes.
Cost is driven by internal volume, target temperature, panel thickness, compressor type, evaporator capacity, flooring, and ancillary works like ramps or strip curtains. We provide itemised quotes so you can see exactly what drives the price.
Yes — we offer scheduled preventive maintenance covering refrigeration, panels and door hardware to keep your cold chain reliable.
Yes. EMOST delivers and installs commercial kitchen equipment across Kenya, including the coast, Rift Valley, and western counties, providing turnkey kitchen fitouts for hotels, restaurants, hospitals, and schools.
Yes. Every project starts with a site survey or architect's drawings. EMOST produces a CAD layout before fabrication, so ranges, ovens, hoods, and counters fit the kitchen's exact dimensions and workflow.
EMOST fabricates all commercial kitchen equipment in 304 stainless steel, a food-grade, corrosion-resistant standard suited to continuous commercial cooking and cleaning.
EMOST fabricates and supplies complete cooking equipment, including gas ranges, deep fryers, and ovens, alongside the stainless steel tables, sinks, shelving, and hoods that make up the rest of the kitchen.
Yes. Kitchens are designed and fabricated to support HACCP-friendly workflows and public health code requirements, from equipment layout through material finish.
Timelines depend on project scope, ranging from a single equipment piece to a full turnkey kitchen. EMOST provides a project timeline after the initial site survey or drawing review.
We do both — full system design (load calculations, ducting layout, equipment selection) as well as installation and commissioning. This avoids the common problem of mismatched design-and-install handovers.
Yes — we service, retrofit and upgrade existing HVAC installations. We work on chillers, split systems, VRF systems, exhaust hoods and industrial ventilation.
Yes — we design and install positive-pressure clean rooms with HEPA filtration up to ISO 8 class, suitable for pharmaceutical packaging and electronics.
Yes — kitchen extraction is one of our core HVAC offerings, including hoods, ducting, make-up air and roof fans, designed to meet local codes.
Lead times depend on scope: laser cutting is 1–5 days, custom fabrication 1–3 weeks, cold rooms and kitchens 2–6 weeks. We confirm a firm programme with every quote and stick to it.
Yes — we provide CAD drawings, layouts and 3D renders for approval on most projects before fabrication starts. This keeps everyone aligned and avoids costly changes mid-build.
Yes — our engineers are registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and we work to recognised international standards on every project.
Standard terms are 50% deposit to commence, balance on completion. Larger projects may be staged. Terms are confirmed in the quotation.
Yes — fabrication carries a workmanship warranty, refrigeration systems include a 12-month parts and labour warranty, and equipment warranties are passed through from the manufacturers.
