The challenge

The entrance needed to be recognisable at night from the road while still carrying the venue's branding clearly. Intricate floral patterns had to be cut without weakening the panels, the lettering had to stay readable at a distance, and all lighting hardware had to be concealed inside the structure.

The Approach

How the project was delivered

STEP / 01
Design

The arch profile, floral pattern and lettering were drawn as one vector layout, with bridge widths sized to keep the panels rigid after cutting.

STEP / 02
Laser cutting

Panels and lettering were cut on the fiber laser to a ±0.1mm tolerance so repeated pattern sections aligned exactly across the arch.

Frame fabrication

A steel arch frame was fabricated to carry the panels, with an internal cavity sized for LED strip and cabling.

STEP / 04
Finishing

All components were cleaned, primed and finished in black to make the illuminated cut-outs read strongly at night.

STEP / 05
Lighting integration

LED strip was mounted inside the frame behind the panels and wired to a concealed driver, so light passes through the cut-outs with no visible fittings.

STEP / 06
Installation

The arch was set out, anchored at the entrance and connected to power, then aligned and tested after dark.

  • Artwork readiness. Ask whether your logo will be redrawn as a cutting-ready vector, and who owns that file afterwards.
  • Material and thickness. Confirm sheet thickness — too thin and intricate panels flex, too thick and fine detail is lost.
  • Structural bridges. Intricate patterns need bridge widths designed in, or sections drop out during cutting.
  • Lighting plan. Confirm where LED drivers and cabling sit and that they are concealed and weather-protected.
  • Installation and power. Agree who anchors the structure and who makes the final electrical connection.

Decorative screens and signage panels are usually cut from 1.5mm to 3mm sheet, which holds fine detail while staying rigid enough to span an arch. Our fiber laser cuts mild steel up to 20mm where heavier sections are needed.
A vector DXF or DWG file cuts directly. If you only have a logo image or a sketch, our team can redraw it as a cutting-ready vector before production.
