Commercial Gas Range & Twin Deep Fryer Fabrication — Nairobi Hospitality Client
A custom stainless steel four-burner gas range integrated with twin deep fryers, fabricated for a hospitality client in Nairobi.
EMOST Techniques Ltd fabricated a custom stainless steel commercial kitchen equipment unit — a four-burner gas cooking range integrated with twin deep fryers — for a hospitality client in Nairobi. The piece was built as a single combined cooking station, engineered for the demands of a working restaurant or hotel kitchen. It is representative of the commercial kitchen equipment Kenya hospitality operators need when replacing or upgrading line cooking equipment with a durable, food-safe, all-stainless setup.

The challenge
Hospitality kitchens need cooking equipment that holds up to daily commercial use, meets basic food-safety and hygiene expectations, and fits the kitchen's existing layout and gas supply. A standard imported unit does not always match the exact footprint, burner count or fryer configuration a specific kitchen needs. This client needed a range and fryer combination built to their kitchen's requirements — four gas burners paired with two deep fryers — rather than a fixed off-the-shelf configuration, with the construction standard (all stainless steel, food-grade work surfaces) that commercial kitchen operations require.

How the unit was built
Requirements were established with the client: burner count, fryer count, and the combined range-and-fryer configuration.
The unit was laid out as one integrated piece: cooking range on one side, twin fryer stations on the other, sharing a common stainless steel structure.
Stainless steel sheet was cut and formed for work surfaces, rear splash guard, lower storage/support sections and legs, then welded into a unified base structure.
Four gas burners with heavy-duty grates and front-mounted knobs on the range side; two fryer stations with hinged, handled covers on the fryer side.
Surfaces finished to a smooth, brushed stainless steel standard suited to food-service environments.
The completed unit was delivered to the client's Nairobi kitchen.

What was delivered
EMOST Techniques Ltd delivered a single, integrated stainless steel cooking station combining a 4-burner gas range and a twin deep fryer unit for the client's Nairobi kitchen. The unit was built entirely in stainless steel — work surfaces, rear guard, lower support structure and legs — with gas burners, control knobs and hinged fryer covers fitted as one combined piece rather than separate units.
Before hiring a fabricator in Kenya
- Registration. Confirm the fabricator is EBK-registered, particularly for equipment involving gas lines and structural welding.
- Material specification. Ask which stainless steel grade will be used for work surfaces versus structural components — they don't always need the same grade.
- On-site survey. A fabricator should assess your kitchen's actual space, gas supply and layout before finalising a design, rather than quoting from a generic spec sheet.
- Gas safety sign-off. For gas-burner equipment, confirm how burner fitting and gas connections are checked before handover.
- Warranty and service terms. Ask what's covered if a burner, control knob or weld joint needs attention after installation.
